This is a site for launching hand-carried boats such as canoes or kayaks.

Description & Overview:

Simmons Pond is a 37 acre pond largely within the RI DEM Simmons Mill Management Area. The shoreline is forested and natural and there is a wetland at the north end where Cole Brook enters the pond. There is fishing access at the south end of the pond via a footpath but the best small craft access is via Cole Brook, which flows under Colebrook Road and into the pond. Hand carried boats can be launched next to the bridge that carries Colebrook Road over Cole Brook. This pond is stocked with trout in the early spring.
